Bateshwar (Dist. 70 Kms.)

Bateshwar is essentially a temple town, situated on the bank of the holy River Yamuna. Bateshwar has a plethora of temples, once totalling up to 101. out of these, 42 temples still stand here. The beauty of this pilgrim town is its long line of Ghats dotted with a series of temples. Some of the temples ceilings still retain their beautiful original frescos painting with vegetable paints. One of the largest cattle fair is held here annually in the month of october/November.

Sikandra (Dist. 13.7Kms.)

It is the mausoleum of the Mugal Emperor Akbar. It represents his philosophy and secular outlook,combining the best of Hindu and Muslim architectures in a superlative fusion. It was complete in 1613 A.D., and is one of the well preserved monuments.

Shauripur Shrine (Dist. 73 Kms.)

3 Kms from Bateshwar temples is the birth place of Lord Neminath who is the 22nd Tirthankar of Jainism.It is an important Jain pilgrimage site.
